For Cuzco City Tour we have two options: you can start in the morning at 9:00 am or in the afternoon at 13:00 pm. We recommend the morning option because it is less crowded. But the morning option costs $5.00 USD extra and requires a minimum of 2 people. These additional $5.00 USD should be paid at the bigining of your tour, and not on our website.

*** The Cusco City Tour can be booked either in the morning or in the afternoon. The morning tour is always less crowded, so we would suggest that you make you reservation for the morning.
*** During the morning version of the Cusco City Tour, the Cusco Cathedral is not visited. Only the following tourist attractions will be visited during the morning tour: The Temple of Santo Domingo, Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucará and Tambomachay.
You can take the Half Day City Tour Cusco in the morning or in the afternoon on a small group tour. First you’ll visit the imposing Plaza de Armas and the Cusco Cathedral. The Cusco Cathedral is very important because inside you will find the paintings of the Cusco School of Artists, and learn how the Spanish conquistadors imposed Christianity on the natives. Next you will visit the Incan Temple of the Sun, the Coricancha. Historians tell us that during Incan times this was the most important religious site in their empire (Tahuantinsuyo).
Then we will head out of the city and up to the immense Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. It is a mystery as to how this site was constructed. The stone blocks are as big as a truck, and they fit together perfectly. No mortar was used. Our next stop will be Qenco. Here you will walk through underground passageways, and marvel at the carved rocks. This carved limestone formation is full of subterranean passages and decorated with mythical figures. Before arriving at Tambomachay you will have a gudied tour of the fortress of Puca Pucara.
The final stop of our tour will be the beautiful fountains of Tambomachay. At Tambomachay the Incas worshipped the spirirt of water. Just across the street from Tambomachay you will encounter local Indian ladies ready to offer you great deals on handmade local crafts such as sweaters, ponchos, mantas, and hats. After the tour we will drop you off near the Plaza de Armas in Cusco. Our tours are extremely flexible allowing our visitors to create and enjoy a memorable experience.

We did the morning City Tour of Cuzco yesterday. That was really a lot of fun. And it was educational, too.
Our kids couldn´t get over the size of the rocks that were built into the wall at Sacsayhuaman. I thought that our guide was a great guy, and he spoke English very well. But some of the explanations that he gave us seemed very far-fetched. Like when we were at a place called Qenqo, which is above the city of Cusco. How could he have possibly known that the Incas used to pour the blood of sacrificed llamas down that channel which they somehow cut into the stone?
The places that we visited inside of Cusco were nice, but it was when we got up above town and visited four separate Incan ruins that I began to feel truly inspired. The kids could make noise, run around and get some great exercise. That left me free to really appreciate the grandeur of Cusco, of the surrounding countryside, and of the incredible structures which the Incas built and left behind. This was an amazing tour for everyone in my family.
It was a warm afternoon when we started out on our Tour. First, we went into the old Cathedral which looked, on the outside, like it could have been built during the Middle Ages, which I guess it was. There were the suffering statues of Jesus. The most famous one of these was called Taytatcha and he is in charge of protecting Cusco from earthquakes. The altar looked like it was plated in pure silver.
Then we walked a couple blocks to the Church of Santo Domingo which was constructed on top of the Qoricancha, the Incas´ Temple of the Sun. This was reportedly the central point of the whole Incan Empire. I don´t know a whole lot about masonry, but it sure looked like somebody long ago did some very beautiful stonework here.
Next we went up to the mesa that overlooks the city itself. We went in to Sacsayhuaman first. That place is a mind-blower. I would appreciate it if someone gave me a logical explanation of how that was built.
The other places above Cusco that were Incan ruins also got my mind thinking about the level of intelligence that the Incan builders must have achieved. This was a fantastic experience.
It was a very educational and enjoyable spin around town. I particularly liked the 4 Incan sites just outside of Cusco. I got to say that there really is something mysterious and magical going on with the Incas, Of course these sites were built so long ago that we might never get at the whole truth. Sometimes I think that if the Incas were listening to some of the stories that these guides tell, they would just laugh themselves silly.
Wow! This tour really is a mind-blower. I liked the Inca parts of the program more than the Spanish parts. Very educational. I learned a lot.
