Oh my gosh! And I thought that I had seen it all. But Machu Picchu is something else again. On a scale of 1 to 10, it is a 20. This ancient citadel is a mind-blower on so many levels. The hydraulic engineering of its canals and fountains, the intricacy of its stonework, the durability of its constructuion…..the awe-inspiring beauty calls to something deep within the soul. And the Sacred Valley is more like a 5 course meal than an appetizer. Take me back, take me back…
We took the Sacred Valley Machu Picchu tour and we really had a wonderful time. Of course, the highlight of the adventure was Machu Picchu. But everything was enjoyable from the time that the tour began until we returned to our Cusco hotel 35 hours later. highly recommended!
